The compositions are worked out in detail from a series of sketches, the chosen one is transferred to the canvas. The choice to paint in a pictorial primitive style is not only an artistic one, but also an homage to many native cultures she has studied.
I also favour a primitive influence in my work, and although my tools are sophisticated computers and cameras, the hand touch and the creative process is kept close to the surface.
